WHAT:
The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, will welcome its 5 millionth visitor tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 11 a.m., marking a significant milestone in its history. In anticipation of this monumental occasion, the Museum has announced a distinctive celebration to honor the lucky visitor. Upon arrival, the 5 millionth guest will be greeted with lifetime admission to the Museum, a ceremonial key, exclusive merchandise, a cake and a champagne toast symbolizing the Museum’s appreciation for the public’s continued interest and support. A custom thematic step-and-repeat will also be available at the Museum for photographs.
“Reaching 5 million visitors speaks to the enduring fascination with the subjects we explore and the importance of making this history accessible, engaging and relevant,” said Jonathan Ullman, President and CEO of The Mob Museum. “The Mob Museum has evolved tremendously since 2012, and everything we create is grounded in the same commitment to authenticity and education that give visitors a deeper understanding of organized crime and law enforcement.”
Guests are encouraged to visit the Museum Wednesday, Sept. 30 for the chance to become The Mob Museum’s 5 millionth visitor. A unique photo opportunity in front of the Museum’s lineup wall will also be available for all guests who wish to pose with a special 5 millionth plaque.
NOTABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS TO DATE:
Since its opening in 2012, The Mob Museum has:
- Rehabilitated and repurposed Downtown Las Vegas’ former U.S. Post Office and Courthouse, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
