The Historic Courtroom

In November 1950, the courtroom was the location of the Kefauver Hearings, which were led by the U.S. Congress. Hearings were held across the country to determine the influence of the mob on American society. During normal Museum hours the courtroom appears as it did in 1950, complete with historic furniture.

      • 200 guests reception style
      • 160 guests seated in rounds
      • 120 guests theatre style
  • Rental includes Museum admission for up to 100 guests
  • Additional guests extra
  • Also included are use of the historic courtroom benches and Museum owned low cocktail tables, use of podium and one microphone, background music piped in, housekeeping, event staff and regular Museum security

Museum Buyout

Distillery

The Speakeasy

Travel back in time to the Prohibition era, when thousands of speakeasies operating in hard-to-find places satisfied the nation’s thirst for forbidden spirits. Informative and entertaining exhibits, videos and artifacts tell the stories of the Roaring Twenties, which saw the rise of flappers, jazz and the Mob. The speakeasy exhibit is built around a well-stocked bar and space for a stage for evening entertainment, creating a lively environment inspired by that bygone age.

  • Maximum capacity:
    • 90 guests reception style
    • Existing seating to accommodate 50 guests
  • All guests must be 21 or older
  • Rental includes Museum admission for up to 100 guests during regular Museum hours, additional guests extra
