McClellan Committee Established

The U.S. Senate establishes the Select Committee on Improper Activities in Labor and Management, popularly known as the McClellan Committee after its chairman, Senator John McClellan of Arkansas. Committee testimony establishes clear links between organized labor and organized crime.
