Firearm Training Simulator

Firearm Training Simulator

Overview

The Firearm Training Simulator, located in the Stanley W. Ekstrom Foundation Use of Force Exhibition, places guests in the shoes of law enforcement officers and exposes them to the types of training exercises officers undergo to prepare for use-of-force situations. Guests engage in intense digital and live role-playing scenarios that demonstrate the speed and complexity of use-of-force decisions. Guests are encouraged to find ways to de-escalate dangerous situations rather than resorting to deadly force. Guests receive a simulated firearm and police officer duty belt to use throughout the experience. A special ticket is required for this experience. Open daily 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., starting every 15 minutes. Participants must be at least 13 years old, 13-16 year olds must be accompanied by an adult and parental consent is required for minors.

This exhibit is sponsored by the Stanley W. Ekstrom Foundation.

Funding to support our organization has been provided by Nevada Humanities through Congress and the National Endowment for the Humanities as part of the CARES Act economic stabilization plan of 2020.
