Distillery Tour and Tastings
Take a journey through Prohibition with The Mob Museum’s new Distillery Tours that involves sampling a variety of distilled spirits. Participants will have the chance to explore The Underground, learn about Prohibition and its impact on a variety of liquor. During this 30-minute experience, participants will be educated on the historical origins of Prohibition and gain insights into the drinking culture that existed before the 1920s era.
All participants must be 21+
Funding to support our organization has been provided by Nevada Humanities through Congress and the National Endowment for the Humanities as part of the CARES Act economic stabilization plan of 2020.
The tasting experience includes a variety of spirits—including our house-distilled moonshine. The tour encourages visitors to develop an appreciation for the flavor of moonshine, especially since our moonshine is as authentic as it can safely get. We make it with 100% corn, and bottle it at 50% ABV.
The Underground Distillery Tour takes place daily from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The Mob Museum serves its house-brewed beer on tap in the speakeasy. The Underground brews a specialty 60 gallons of craft beer per month. Selections include The Underground Ale, a seasonal small-batch brew, and Zap-on- Tap, a rotating beer inspired by Zappos employees.
Meet our Distillers
From cooking corn mash to running our custom, 60-gallon pot still, these are the folks who make our house-distilled spirits and house-brewed craft beers. Have a question during your Distillery Tour? One of our expert team members will be happy to explain our process or anything Prohibition related.
