Before Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman became the most wanted man in Mexico, he was a member of a plucky narcotics start-up. His criminal career skyrocketed after taking control of the Sinaloa Cartel, which grew into the world’s most powerful drug trafficking syndicate. Based on years of investigative, on-the-ground reporting, journalist Noah Hurowitz will reveal El Chapo’s rapid rise to power and eventual life sentence in a U.S. prison.
A book signing in the Museum’s retail store with Noah Hurowitz will follow the program.
