Mexican drug cartels and Central American gangs are consistently prevalent in today’s headlines.

The Mob Museum is providing an opportunity for dialogue with a renowned expert on organized crime in Mexico and Central America. Based in Mexico City, Ioan Grillo is an English-born journalist who is the leading voice chronicling organized crime in the Western Hemisphere.

In this inaugural videoconference, Ioan Grillo will discuss the following topics:

  • Upcoming trial of Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman
  • The Trump administration’s efforts to target MS-13 and latest strategies to combat organized crime in Mexico
  • Audience will have the rare opportunity to take part in a Q&A with Ioan Grillo

This event will take place in the Museum’s Organized Crime Today exhibit on the 1st floor.
