Blackberry Paloma
The history of the Paloma cocktail is unclear, but what is known is how Prohibition’s repeal in 1933 fostered the mixology movement for decades to come. Now in 2024, we celebrate a beloved tequila cocktail with a twist. This Paloma is expertly crafted with Tres Generaciones Blanco Tequila, Creme de Mure, lemon, vermouth and grapefruit soda.
Goodbye Kiss
A variation of the classic pre-Prohibition Widow’s Kiss cocktail, this version says goodbye to Prohibition with Basil Hayden Dark Rye, apricot liqueur, chartreuse and a dash of bitters.
Tiki Time
Inspired by Polynesian culture he experienced when traveling to the South Pacific, American adventurer and businessman Ernest Gantt — later and better known as Donn Beach — opened the first Tiki Bar in 1934 in Hollywood, California. Take a trip to the beach with this tropical sip, featuring Toki Japanese Whisky, coconut, pineapple amaro and orange.
Repeal Day Sour
The first known recipes for sour cocktails come from Jerry Thomas’ 1862 book the “Bartender’s Guide,” but this Repeal Day Sour goes beyond Prohibition’s classic Sidecar cocktail. Combining Roku Gin, grapefruit, amaro and Aperol, The Underground has crafted this refreshing citrusy, sweet and jubilant sour.
