Gabriela Najera
Gabriela Najera is currently the Associate Warden of Programs at Florence McClure Women’s Correctional Center. She has been working for the Nevada Department of Corrections (NDOC) for approximately 22 years, a career beginning in January 2002. During the course of her career, she has worked and/or supervised the following institutions: Florence McClure Women’s Correctional Center Southern Desert Correctional Center, High Desert State Prison, Three Lakes Valley Conservation Camp, Jean Conservation Camp and Casa Grande Transitional Housing. Associate Warden Najera has gained valuable work experience and has held several positions in the NDOC including: Warden, Associate Warden of Programs, Associate Warden of Operations, Correctional Casework Specialist I, II and III and Substance Abuse Counselor. AW Najera is a graduate of the University of Nevada Las Vegas, and she holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. She is bilingual and is a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor. Over the course of her career in Corrections, she has acquired a wealth of experience in correctional operations, institutional programs, management and offender classification. As a correctional leader, Ms. Najera continually ensures that the Department’s mission is executed with the highest level of ethics, integrity, and professionalism. It is her passion to work with offenders in order to facilitate their successful re-entry into society and ultimately make our community safer.
