The Mob Museum’s monthly Community Safety Forums continue on Sunday, September 17, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The five top hazards for Clark County include earthquakes, extreme weather, wildfire, pandemic, and hazardous materials. Southern Nevada is particularly vulnerable to disaster because no food is grown in the region and the area’s main fuel line originates in California.

This program, created by the American Red Cross, educates individuals on preparedness in emergency and disaster situations. As part of the presentation, attendees will learn the basic tenants of emergency preparedness planning, including water, food, and medical plans, family and neighborhood planning, and how to put these plans into action.

Registration is required.

Free Admission to The Mob Museum following the event to guests attending Community Safety Forums sponsored by NV Energy. Also thanks to NV Energy’s generous support, The Mob Museum will provide live streaming of the presentations on our website.

Metro-296x300This monthly program is part of a joint Mob Museum-Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department partnership, sponsored by NV Energy, presenting a series of Monthly Community Safety Forums Sundays through 2017.
