The Las Vegas Strip has become a world-famous tourist destination—boasting some of the city’s finest resorts, restaurants, entertainment and more. But how did this exciting landmark come to be? Historian Lynn Zook will offer insights into the legendary (and notorious) visionaries who built the first 11 hotels on the Las Vegas Strip, as well as discuss the unique story behind each of these historic establishments.
Zook will shed light on:
• The origins of the Strip
• How it has evolved
• And much more
After the program, Zook will sign copies of her book, Gambling on a Dream: The Classic Las Vegas Strip, 1930-1955.
This event is now sold out.
