Art of the Mob: The LeRoy Neiman Portraits

For its first-ever fine art exhibition, The Mob Museum has partnered with the LeRoy Neiman and Janet Byrne Neiman Foundation to display 13 portraits of iconic organized crime and law enforcement figures by famed artist LeRoy Neiman.
One of the 20th century’s best-known and entrepreneurial artists, with his ever-present cigar and handlebar moustache, Neiman was known for his impressionistic portraits of athletes, musicians and the international high life. When Neiman learned that a museum dedicated to the history of organized crime and law enforcement was being built in Las Vegas, he was inspired to illustrate the likes of John Gotti, Bugsy Siegel and many more for what became The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement.
This temporary exhibition will feature works of art portraying Al Capone, Meyer Lansky, Frank Costello, John Gotti, Bugsy Siegel, FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover, John Dillinger, Mickey Cohen and others.
Opening Friday, March 21 in the Museum’s Oscar B. Goodman Room located on the third floor.
