Member Exclusive: Dead Man’s Pockets: Evidence from the Murder of Bugsy Siegel
When mobster Benjamin “Bugsy” Siegel was murdered on June 20, 1947, the Beverly Hills Police Department collected 22 personal effects from his pockets as crime scene evidence. Police kept these items under wraps for almost 80 years, during which time the murder was never solved. The Mob Museum recently acquired these items, and they are going on exhibit.
At this special event, Members will get a sneak peek at these unique pieces of evidence from perhaps the greatest Mob mystery of them all. In addition, Vice President of Research, Collections and Programs Geoff Schumacher will explain how the personal effects were finally released, and he will interview Siegel’s granddaughter, Wendy Rosen. Content Development Manager Zach Jensen will take a deep dive into Siegel’s unsolved murder.
Program admission includes one cocktail or mocktail. Must be 21+ and a Mob Museum Member to participate.
Inner Circle Donors are invited to a reception prior to the program and will receive complimentary admission.
