The Get-Away

1941: Edward Buzzell, director; starring Robert Sterling, Donna Reed. A remake of 1935’s Public Hero No. 1, with Sterling as the undercover FBI agent and Reed as the conflicted girlfriend of hero and sister of gangster. Updated to make it clear that the gangster was stealing military payrolls. The film made extensive use of footage from the original film.
