NEVADAGIVES HOSTS GIVING DAY PRESS CONFERENCE, NONPROFIT SHOWCASE AT THE MOB MUSEUM, THURSDAY, MARCH 10, 10:30 A.M.

Community Giving Day Celebration Continues at Inspire Theater 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.

WHAT:

NevadaGIVES will hold its fifth statewide online giving event: Nevada’s Big Give.  Nevada’s Big Give is 24-hours of online giving benefitting charities and Clark County School District Schools across the state, fostering charitable giving by encouraging Nevadans to give where they live. To date, Nevada’s Big Give has raised just over $2 million for nearly 500 Nevada charities from over 15,000 unique donors.

Donors, participating nonprofits and public schools and members of the public are encouraged to attend NevadaGIVES’ Giving Day celebrations. A kickoff press event and celebration will take place at 10:30 a.m. at The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement. Here, NevadaGIVES leadership and elected and school officials will speak on the philanthropic impact and importance of Nevada’s Big Give. This event is open to the public and attendees will receive complimentary admission to The Mob Museum.

Later in the day, donors and the community at-large are invited to Inspire Theater, the official headquarters for the 2016 Nevada’s Big Give. In addition to providing computer stations to enable online giving, Inspire Theater will feature appearances by local community leaders and entertainment by Las Vegas Academy student performers, Taiko Drums, Cellist Shana Tucker, Molodi Body Percussion and Jabbawockeez, as well and food and drink specials.
