Mayors Carolyn and Oscar Goodman To Unveil New Donation Station Meter At The Mob Museum

Meters Allow Convenient Way To Donate To Homeless Services

Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman will be joined by former Mayor Oscar B. Goodman to unveil a new Donation Station meter at The Mob Museum, located at 300 Stewart Ave., on Monday, Oct. 20, at 10 a.m.

The Donation Station will be located in front of The National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, and will take change donations that will go to help break the cycle of homelessness in Las Vegas.

The new meter is the 13th to be dedicated in the city of Las Vegas, and all donations go to providing homeless services including personal hygiene kits and travel costs to reunite homeless individuals with their families.

Donation Stations launched in in 2010 and more than $12,000 has been collected through the program. The annual meter sponsorship cost is $1,000 and interested businesses or individuals can call 702-229-2330 for more information on how to get involved with the program.
