The Iceman

2012: Ariel Vromen, director; starring Michael Shannon, Ray Liotta, Wynona Ryder. The film tells the story, adapted from the true-crime narrative by Anthony Bruno of the same name, of a man who ostensibly has a normal family life but is in fact a hitman for the Gambino crime family. Shannon, as Richard Kuklinski, was convicted in 1986 of three murders but claimed to have killed between 100 and 250 people over more than two decades.
